Disclosure Policy

Complying with the recent FTC ruling that bloggers need to disclose if they are being paid or compensated for their posts, the following is my full disclosure policy:

This policy is valid from December 22, 2009.

The Brown Like Me Book Review is a book review blog written and edited by me, Jennifer, aka Mama Jenn. For questions about this blog, please contact  MamaJennBlogs {at} gmail {dot} com.

The Brown Like Me Book Review abides by word of mouth marketing standards. I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion and identity.

This blog does accept forms of cash advertising, sponsorship, paid insertions, and other forms of compensation.

The compensation received may influence the advertising content, topics or posts made in this blog. That content, advertising space or post may not always be identified as paid or sponsored content.

Basically, as the owner of this blog, I am willing to accept compensation for my book reviews. However, compensated reviews will be indicated as paid or compensated. I do use affiliate links throughout my blog and the "Brown Like Me" Bookstore, which provide compensation should someone click on the link and/or make a purchase through the link. Regardless of whether I receive compensation for my posts or advertisements, I will ALWAYS give my honest opinions, findings, beliefs, or experiences on those topics or products. We have read some books that I we did not like. If I don't feel that the book warrants the time it would take for me to write the review, in most cases I will not even review it. Hence, the views and opinions expressed on this blog are purely my own.

"Brown Like Me" Book Reviews (from Mama Jenn) is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
