Baby Blessings

by Deloris Jordan
Illustrated by James E. Ramsome

I love this book! In fact, I think it is a wonderful gift idea for a newborn or a mom/dad-to-be! This is a beautiful prayer for the day that a child is born.
"Today you are born. You will always be loved with a love that knows no bounds. You will touch the world in your own special way..."
It is a celebration of the abundance of blessings that come with the birth of a child! It is a reminder that mom and dad will always stand by you, love you, support you, and encourage you to "believe and trust in God and His promises of blessings."

He's Got the Whole World in His Hands

This book is so cute! It features a boy and his family with the lyrics of the old spiritual turned into a picture book. After a few pages we were singing along to the words of the song, "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands." The kids had a blast trying to figure out what the next lyrics were based on the pictures, which, by the way, are awesome.

Designed by God so I Must be Special

I think this book is adorable. It talks about the different body parts (eyes, ears, nose, skin, body, mind, heart, and Spirit) that God has given us and how we are able to use them. The book is written in a lyrical/poetic format which I think is called a quatrain (where the 2nd and 4th line of each stanza rhymes).

I love the bright, vivid colors and the overall message of the book,

"He designed me with Special talents,
gifts and abilities you see,
which let me know that He has
something Special in mind for me."

I think this is the cutest little book. If I had not received this book as a gift, I would definitely purchase it!
